Community Service

For the year 2011 and 2012 I helped provide nourishment for the homeless. Went out on Thanksgiving morning to a location were there were a lot of more other volunteers providing food, shelter, clothes, shoes, and things that can help them on a day of giving. The things i learned from this was to be helpful and things get done faster in time by working together and everyone doing their part.

Los Angeles Regional Field Build

Team 597 was one of the teams who help assemble build the field for the robotics competition in this years Los Angeles regional. I helped with the destruction of the previous field and building of the new one. I learned important teamwork is and how important it is to follow orders to get things fast and quick and good. I learned that its better to ask around for herlp and see if anyone needs help to get things done faster.

First Lego League 2012

Team 597 helped mentor middle schools with projects assigned to them this year from First Lego League. Senior Solutions was the challenge given out this year for the kids. First Lego League tams had to see if they can improve the quality of life for seniors by helping them continue to be independent, engaged in their communities. This was a good experience for me. It taught me leadership skills and to manage a group of people to make sure they stay on top of task and complete their goal.

Car wash

In the summer of 2012. I got a job with one of my friend's car wash company. We would take in a number of cars and wash them down to the specific wash plan they had. This taught me about organization because I learned how important it is to have things ready for a job. I learned the importance of teamwork and how important it is to community with people when trying to get a task done. Overall it was a good experience.
